The Bridgestone Turanza T005 RFT (*) is a high-performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model is the original equipment tire of select BMW vehicles.

The tire promotes great summer weather traction. The asymmetric tread design and the summer compound work together to boost the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The asymmetric tread design enhances the grip on the road surface with a higher number of biting edges. The high silica Nano Pro-tech compound avoids heat build-up and improves the performing capability. The tread’s wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water from below the footprint. As a result, the tire improves the summer weather road gripping ability.

The tire features a reinforced internal structure to increase driving safety levels. The stronger construction enables the tire to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers after air pressure loss. This allows the tire to be driven on once air pressure leaves the tire for 50 miles up the speed of 50 mph. In this manner, the tire does not allow the vehicle to be stranded on the side of the road. The stronger steel belt and stiff polyester reinforcement and the Nano Pro-tech high silica compound increase the high-speed durability. The structure does not deform under the pressure, while the compound avoids heat build-up and these enhancements enable the tire to securely perform at its greatest high-speed capability.

The Turanza T005 RFT (*) manages to increase fuel efficiency. The optimized summer traction and the reinforced internal structure ease the driving pressure off the tire, minimizing its rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the driving pressure that regulates the vehicle’s needed fuel intake in order to keep the tires in motion. By lowering the rolling resistance, the tire lessens the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels throughout the drive. This enables the model to enhance the fuel-conscious and environmentally friendly driving experience.
